Dan serves as the Director of Development and Communications for Men’s Ministries and Light for the Lost. He is a writer, photographer, communicator, a dedicated missions partner, and is ordained through the Southern Missouri District of the Assemblies of God.
Dan has a strong passion for missions and ministry and has worked in the fields of ministry development, communications, and fundraising for the past 19 years. His ministry includes all forms of communications from our office and overseeing Celebrate the Light (our LFTL media fundraising presentation). He also helps create, and develop ministry resources for leaders and men, and assists our districts/networks and local churches to assimilate our resources.
Dan is a 2003 graduate of Evangel University with a B.A. in Journalism, and is currently working on a Masters in Intercultural Studies through Southwestern Assemblies of God University. From 2004 to 2018, Dan was Director of Advancement Communications for Barefield and Associates, an agency that partners with Assemblies of God ministries for fundraising and promotions. In 2013, Dan began writing and directing Light for the Lost’s bi-annual Celebrate the Light campaign. He joined the National LFTL team in 2018.
A love of world travel and missions has taken Dan to 42 countries where he’s gathered media for promotions, fundraising, and donor ministry. He and his wife, Tara, live in Republic, Missouri, with their son, Omar.
