Cyclone Survivors in Fiji: "Vinaka"
Two cyclones and a serious food shortage devastated the Fijian islands in 2020. Numerous Assemblies of God churches and private homes were leveled by the high winds, and transportation and agricultural systems were almost non-existent for months afterwards.
Missionaries Mark and Kim Gardner contacted Light for the Lost and AG Disaster Relief for help ministering to the physical and spiritual needs of 600 Fijian families. AG Disaster Relief provided bags of food and LFTL funds provided evangelistic magazines, which were distributed door-to-door.

At every storm-damaged home and church, the people said, “Vinaka,” or thank you. They understood the gifts were given in love and accepted them with much gratitude. “Every family that received food also received a copy of ‘The Amazing Gospel,’ provided by LFTL,” Mark Gardner says.
Thank you (vinaka) for supporting LFTL so we can quickly respond to needs like this all over the world. As Fijians rebuild, thousands of them know about God’s love and the way of salvation through Jesus.
