Philippians 3:10-11 – “That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death; in order that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.” (NASB)

Every morning I wake up and put my hearing aids in. I have to admit there are days when I just don’t want to. I wonder to myself, “Why God? Why?” Then I take time to think about how my life has changed since the hearing aids. How through the deafness, I was able to hear the Lord calling. I think about the lives He has touched through my deafness, and I think about how I would go through it all again. When it becomes about me, then I have lost my focus on Jesus and the Father’s will, plan, and purpose. Each of us has struggles. Each of us has one thing or another that we are struggling with today. Spend some time in prayer and come to a place where you understand that the pain and suffering make you stronger. If we go through trials and don’t learn, then we inevitably go through them again and again. I don’t know about you, but once is enough for me. Praise Him through the struggles for He is building character of Christ in us.
