Scripture:

Psalms 31:14 – “But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord, I say, ‘You are my God.’” (NASB)

Observation:

“Just keep the line tight!” One of my friends had car trouble and called me to help tow his car back to his house. We had hooked up the tow rope and proceeded to tow his car. I was worried that he might not be able to stop and come crashing into the back of my truck. I had to learn to trust him and keep the rope tight between the two vehicles. I kept looking in the rearview mirror and wondering how much I trusted my friend. Today’s scripture shares about trusting in the Lord and states: “You are my God.” If God is really our God, we should have no trouble trusting in Him. But like towing my friend’s car, there are times when we may question that trust. Do we really think our God, who loved us so much to give us His son, would want to hurt us in some way? He is a God of Love, and He loves each of us despite our shortcomings. Trust Him today will all the details of your life. One of the blessings that come from complete trust in Him is peace. I love that feeling of total and complete calmness knowing He is in control. Seek His will, walk in His peace.
