Daily Devotional for Saturday October 28, 2017

Romans 12:2 (NASB) And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

We are the only ones who really know what we are about. What I mean is, when we are alone and no one else is around, that’s when we find out if we truly know and live Jesus Christ. I am not a world traveler by any sense of the word. In fact, I’m not even an out of state kind of guy. My life can usually be found in about 100 square mile radius. So, when I do get the opportunity to travel outside my immediate life circle, that is when I find out who I really am. Am I the same servant of Christ when no one knows me? Do I hold tight to His Ways, or am I the kind of guy who just talks the talk and walks the walk when it’s easy. Am I ashamed to pull out my Bible in public, or is it just for Sunday morning service? If I see someone in need do I jump up and offer to help, or do I hide behind the multitude of people because no one knows me. If I have been transformed deep inside, the answer to those types of questions is obvious. However, if I have not buried His Word deep within me and learned what it really means to be a follower of Christ, then the answer is simple: I really don’t know what it means to live Jesus. Walking with Christ is a day-to-day thing. If He lives IN us, we must live Him OUT in our lives. Are you?
