Daily Devotional for Saturday October 21, 2017

Acts 27:25 (NASB) Therefore, keep up your courage, men, for I believe God that it will turn out exactly as I have been told.

He was down and out, felt like there was no hope, and yet he called and asked me to pray with him. These moments of men reaching out have become more frequent lately. I’m not sure, but I believe Satan is attacking men with an alarming rate in these last days. I took a moment, and we prayed together. I shared today's scripture - make sure you read it. It is a word of encouragement for any man who is struggling with something. Don't give up; don't let Satan rob you of the power we have in Jesus Christ. I want to encourage each one who reads this to do two things: (1) pray to find God’s direction, and (2) reach out to that guy you know who is struggling and share today's verse. Men don't have to go it alone. We have Jesus Christ, but we also have each other. A call or text at the right time will make the difference in a man's life. Whether they know the Lord or not, reach out. Let us not be just hearers of His Word, but be doers as well. So, the challenge is... to reach out to one man after reading this - a simple text, an email, a phone call, a face-to-face visit, but do it. See what God does.

• Personal Application: Continue spending time with the Lord daily. Sow righteousness and reap the fruit of God's unfailing love.

• Family Devotional: Read this chapter to your family. Ask them if anything spoke to them as you read. Talk about their answers and show them that one important aspect of this chapter is that we must continue to spend time with the Lord and keep our hearts focused on His plans and purposes. Pray for them.
