John 17:17 – “Sanctify them in truth; Your word is truth.” (NASB)

I couldn't believe what I read. While putting together a recent project, I had to go over the directions about three times before I caught it. One of the steps was listed wrong meaning that there was no way for me to follow the directions and end up with a finished product. With the steps out of order, the directions just didn't make sense. Today's verse speaks of God's word, and how that word is truth. I could have saved a lot of time and energy if the directions were truthful. In life, we will run across things that are, well... just not truthful. Some of them may cause us to use up energy, time, and talents, and end up with a less than perfect outcome. The only real truth to follow is God's word. You won't waste energy trying this and that if you go there first. I needed to go back to the start and redo the work in order for the project to end well. Don't waste time going back, start in God's word and things will work out just fine. That's if we read it. So are you, reading His word?
