Day 3, November 7, 2018 Psalm 27:10 “For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but the Lord will take me in.” (ESV)
Day 3 of Loneliness. I pray that you begin to see that loneliness can be overcome by the knowledge of Jesus Christ in our lives. Growing up with an anger problem led to many times of punishment. When I was sent to my room as a young boy by my parents, I felt as if my father and my mother had forsaken me. In reality, my loneliness was a consequence of my own actions, not my parents’ actions. When I was let out of my room, I remember my parents always telling me that they loved me but not the bad things I had done. Our wrong actions can cause others to run from us, resulting in loneliness. But even in our fallen state, God sent His Son to the Cross for our sins. And He stands with us in our loneliness, no matter what we’ve done. We must turn to Him and talk it through!
