Daily Devotional for Monday November 27, 2017

Romans 10:14 (NASB) How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?

Who would have thought that walking a dog would allow me to share the message of the gospel? Each morning, as I walk our family dog, I get a chance to meet some of my neighbors that are up early and going to work. They have become accustomed to me and Dee walking by and saying a friendly hello as they get in their cars and drive off. Each morning, we take the same route and in doing so, we get to see the neighbors: leaving for work, delivering the morning paper, dog owners walking their dogs, early morning joggers. I have noticed that as each day passes, the friendly hellos turn into “Hey! How are you?” or “Beautiful day, isn’t it?” Some days the discussion goes a little longer to where names are exchanged and there is content to the conversation. Some even answer that things are a little tough for them. It is then that I can say that I will pray for them. Who would have thought that walking a dog could open doors for sharing Christ? Let’s not wait for them. Let’s start saying hello to our neighbors.

Personal Application: Continue spending time with the Lord daily. Sow righteousness and reap the fruit of God's unfailing love.

Family Devotional: Read this chapter to your family. Ask them if anything spoke to them as you read. Talk about their answers and show them that one important aspect of this chapter is that we must continue to spend time with the Lord and keep our hearts focused on His plans and purposes. Pray for them.
