Day 6, November 10, 2018 Psalm 121:1-2 “I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; from where shall my help come? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.” (NASB)
As we get closer to ending the week’s theme on Loneliness, I pray that we begin to see the pattern of reaching out to God, and other godly men, as a way to find healing. As a young boy, I was always messing up. Whether it was trying to do things that I didn’t have the strength to accomplish, or the knowledge to finish it correctly, I was always looking for help. Today’s verse speaks about where our help comes from, but we have to do our part as well. Many times, while working on my car, I got to a place where I needed another set of hands to help. I could have just sat there waiting for someone to come by and help or I could call out to my dad or an uncle or even my brother to lend a hand. The verse shares that we can lift up our eyes to the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. If God can create all that we see, don’t you think He can help us with our loneliness? Sometimes help can come to us in the form of a godly man that He sends to us, so be on the lookout for them too and be honest with your loneliness. That godly man may be answered prayer!
