Philippians 3:13 “Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead...” (NASB)

Keep moving forward. We were tripping over everything as we made our way in the dark, smoke filled, attic. Our crew had been sent there by the chief to open the attic windows to allow the heat and smoke that was building escape. The only problem was that with each step, we went further into the darkness. Today's verse speaks of not laying hold of it yet and forgetting what lies behind... reaching forward to what lies ahead. Each of us, at any given time, may feel the pressure to give in or give up. The things of our past seem to haunt us to the point where we feel we can't go on any further. It is at that time, amidst the darkness, the lies of Satan, the past we are so desperately trying to leave, that we must cry out to God for the strength to reach forward. If we know Christ, we know that the future holds a much brighter place for us. I urge you in the name of Christ to carry on... to move forward and keep moving forward to reach what lies ahead. We made it to the windows and were able to pull the plywood off. The light began to shine and light our path. God has sent His Son to be the Light on your path... keep moving forward!
