Proverbs 3:21-22 “My son, let them not vanish from your sight; Keep sound wisdom and discretion, so they will be life to your soul and adornment to your neck.” (NASB)
Movies: what am I really watching? It may seem strange to us adults to have someone tell us what movies we should or should not watch, and the reality is that we ourselves should hold a standard in our own life as to what is acceptable to watch. I remember the first movie I ever went to see. My grandmother took my brother and me to see Mary Poppins. I remember as she walked us in, got our tickets and sat back to watch the big screen. The movie was so pure and innocent to a child of about five-years-old, but now I have to say that I haven’t been to see a movie in quite a while. The purity and innocence seems to be gone. There is a standard that I try to hold to as I watch any media. Can Jesus sit next to me as I watch it? What standard do you hold as you watch?
