Isaiah 41:10 “Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” (NASB)

It doesn't matter if we catch anything; just being there with him is a blessing. A few years ago, I sat many miles away from home and prayed a simple prayer: God if it is Your will, let me have one more fishing trip with him. My dad was undergoing major heart surgery and the reports I got didn't sound good at all. As I rushed home to try and see him one more time before surgery, I offered up the previous prayer. I finally understood today's verse - not to fear, for God is with me, not to be anxious for God is my God; He strengthened me and helped me understand that no matter what I found when I got home, God's will would be done. We have had many fishing trips since that day, and each one, whether we catch fish or not, is a blessing. Not all things turn out that way, but no matter what we face, if we hold today's verse in our hearts, God will strengthen us to get through the rough patches of life. I prayed the same prayer when my mom was injured and found peace in today's scripture when Jesus called her home. No matter what you're facing today, let God uphold you with His righteous right hand. He will see you through!
