2 Timothy 2:26 (ESV) and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will

I felt trapped… like there was no escape. Deep within the building, I found myself lost in the fire and smoke. There was no light to guide my way. Today's verse speaks of being trapped and how to escape. During rookie school, the fire officers shared with us techniques to use when we found ourselves in these situations - being trapped, feeling as if there was no escape. It was to calm down our breathing, take a moment and focus. In life, we may find ourselves feeling trapped by the lies of Satan to the point of no escape, but if we breath, take a moment to focus on Christ, and the victory we can find in him, we can escape the lies and the traps. The Light of Christ will bring us to safety.

Personal Application: Continue spending time with the Lord daily. Sow righteousness and reap the fruit of God's unfailing love.

Family Devotion: Read this chapter with your family. Ask them if anything spoke to them and discuss. Pray with them.
