Daily Devotional for Sunday May 13, 2018

Deuteronomy 12:32 (ESV) “Everything that I command you, you shall be careful to do. You shall not add to it or take from it.

I sent an email and forgot an important part. It was like mailing a letter with just the envelope, or making a call and not talking when the other person answered. I forgot the attachment. Today's verse speaks about God's Word and not adding to it or taking from it. The person who received the email had no idea what I was talking about without the attachment. When we say we are followers of Christ, we need to make sure that we have the attachment of His Word in our life. Without it, people just won't understand the message. How do we ensure we are doing everything that He has commanded? We attach and align our life with His Word. Do our actions reflect His Word, or are we just empty letters or emails with no substance?

Personal Application: Continue spending time with the Lord daily. Sow righteousness and reap the fruit of God's unfailing love.

Family Devotion: Read this chapter with your family. Ask them if anything spoke to them and discuss. Pray with them.
