James 1:12 (ESV) Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.
It's going to crack. The key is knowing where will it happen. While finishing up a concrete job at a customer's house, the owner asked if we had to put the lines in the concrete. The answer was a definite yes. The grooves in the concrete are there to relieve pressure when the ground shifts. Today's verse speaks about men standing the test when under pressure. Like ground beneath concrete, our lives will face pressure. Things will shift, and if we don't have areas in our life to relieve the pressure, we will crack. No one likes cracked concrete or cracked lives for that matter. We can find courage in Christ to find stress relievers along the way so that we don't crack. Where are the areas in your life where you need to put stress relievers?
