1 Thessalonians 5:11 “Therefore, encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.” (NASB)
As most of you know, I love Men’s ministry. Recently, I was asked why I spend so much time in it. I usually joke and say that it is because I live with four women (my wife and three daughters), but beneath the surface it is purely a selfish reason. You see, I love to see grown men, fathers, single men, husbands, workers of all trades, coming together to share the common bond we have in Jesus Christ. I love to see men worship in song and dance (yes there are some men who are comfortable enough in who they are to dance!) I love to see men fall on their faces before their God recognizing the incredible love He has for them. I mostly like to watch two or three men go and pray for one another. It warms my heart, and I find the strength to go on and experience it once again. I really do not have to search for spiritual manhood; I find it at each men’s meeting when we gather to praise and worship our God and not be afraid of what the world thinks of us. To me it is a blessing. I pray that men who read this will find a group of other men to experience the same joy. If you cannot find one, start one!
