Scripture:

Matthew 7:13 “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it." (NASB)

Observation:

Sure, it would have been easier to go that other way, but we would have missed what we were looking for! Sometimes the path of life can take you down a road that may lead one way but when you get there, it was nothing like what you planned. While working Ground Zero, shortly after the buildings collapsed, we needed to get to a certain location that was blocked by piles of debris. There was a path all the way around the rubble, but it wouldn't have gotten us to where we needed to be. Today's verse speaks to us about a wide and narrow gate, one leads to destruction and the other leads to life! We had decided to begin to clear the narrow path and finally arrived at the location we needed to be, shortly after arriving we got the report that the other way around had been completely destroyed when another part of the buildings collapsed! Choosing the right path may have obstacles but life is much better than destruction and that Way is choosing Jesus Christ, for He is the Way! Choose wisely my friends!
