Daily Devotional for Thursday March 29, 2018

Scripture:

Matthew 17:20 (ESV) He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”

Observation:

There was no way. As a young boy, I had the opportunity to help my dad on one of his service calls. He was called to move this incredibly large safe from one room to another. As I walked in and saw the safe, I thought there was no way we were going to move it. < however, I had faith in my dad. Today's verse speaks of having the faith to move mountains, and move it based on the faith of a mustard seed. A mustard seed is one of the smallest seeds that can be planted. My dad brought some pieces of pipe, and slowly lifting one corner with a lever, he began to place the pipes under the safe. Before I knew it, the safe was rolling out the door. Many times, we struggle with moving the things in our life. Not objects, but those things that hold us back from all God is calling us to be. If we start with a little faith and allow it to grow, things will begin to move like we never could imagine. What do you say? Do you want to move a mountain today?!
