Daily Devotional for Wednesday March 28, 2018

Luke 11:34 (ESV) Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is full of light, but when it is bad, your body is full of darkness.

Wow! What a difference. You could see things that were missed along the way. After replacing some old fixtures with new LED lights, I was surprised to see things that were missed along the way. Today's scripture shares about the lamp of our body, our eyes, and that being without the light, our bodies are full of darkness. It's not as if the old lights weren't working properly, but due to new technology, lights have become brighter. With the brighter light, we could see the dirt that had been missed along the way when we thought things were clean. Sometimes our life can become dull and our walk with Christ becomes a cloudy, but if we renew the light of Christ within ourselves, we may just see those dark areas that need to be cleaned up a little better. Maybe it's time to renew the light of Christ and get some spring cleaning done!

Personal Application: Continue spending time with the Lord daily. Sow righteousness and reap the fruit of God's unfailing love.

Family Devotion: Read this chapter with your family. Ask them if anything spoke to them and discuss. Pray with them.
