1 Corinthians 1:10 “Now I exhort you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment.” (NASB)
Make sure you put boards in all the corners. One of the last jobs we did after roughing a house, was to put blocks of wood in places so the dry-wallers would have something to screw their drywall too. The plumbers would make sure that the areas where they were running their pipes would not interfere with where the electricians would be running wires and so on. Today's verse speaks of being in agreement, no divisions among us, so that we may be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment. All of those who were hired to build the house needed to be on the same page, each doing their part but working with the other tradesmen in mind so that the house would be built as one structure with many parts. Whether we are at work, or building a family, or part of a church, we need to be working together for one common good - the spread of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Are we doing our part with others in mind or are we working for our own good?
