Daily Devotional for Monday March 26, 2018

Hebrews 9:28 (ESV) So Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.

We wait eagerly for it to come. While checking the calendar, I find myself looking forward to the months ahead. Our youngest daughter will be getting married, and our eldest daughter will be having our first grand-child. These are exciting times. Today's verse shares about another exciting time… if we are truly ready for it. It speaks of Christ's return. We can get so caught up in the day-to-day that we forget what lies ahead. If we get so caught up in life that we forget the fact that Jesus will return are our priorities in the right order? We may not have the date written on our calendar, but He is coming again. Are we eagerly waiting for Him?

Personal Application: Continue spending time with the Lord daily. Sow righteousness and reap the fruit of God's unfailing love.

Family Devotion: Read this chapter with your family. Ask them if anything spoke to them and discuss. Pray with them.
