Isaiah 28:10 (NASB) “For He says, ‘Order on order, order on order, Line on line, line on line, A little here, a little there."

"A little at a time!" "One bag, then another!" We were moving a few hundred bags of cement from one truck to the customer’s garage. As we started, one guy grabbed two bags at once. The mature man leading the crew gave us some great advice, “One bag at a time. We'll get through it, and not be shot for the rest of the day! It was great advice as the man who had been carrying two bags at a time quickly lost steam and had to sit for a while. Today's verse speaks about order on order, line on line, a little here, a little there. I can't help but think back to when I tried to read through the whole Bible. I wanted to get from Genesis to Revelation as fast as I could just to say that I read the entire Bible. However, I learned that it didn't matter how fast I read. It was more important that I understood what I was reading. Sometimes we try and take on a huge thing in life only to find ourselves struggling. Maybe if we take today's advice and take little-by-little we will have strength to put into action what we read.

Personal Application: Continue spending time with the Lord daily. Sow righteousness and reap the fruit of God's unfailing love.

Family Devotion: Read this chapter with your family. Ask them if anything spoke to them and discuss. Pray with them.
