One-Week Theme: BUSINESS PRACTICES Day 7 Proverbs 24:32-34 “When I saw, I reflected upon it; I looked, and received instruction. ‘A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest.’ Then your poverty will come as a robber and your want like an armed man.” (NASB)

We finish today with the week of business practices, with the conclusion of the verse and the story started yesterday. As the man came out to help us with the work needed to be done on his yard, I saw him step back and really look at his yard and the yards of his neighbors. His reply was “I can’t imagine living next to me!” Today’s verses speak about the sluggard’s fields and how when he was them, he reflect and received instruction. All the man really needed was a new perspective, a few hands to help and the change began to take place. By the end of the day, his yard looked beautiful and his porch transformed into an asset in the neighborhood. The man couldn’t thank us enough for the instruction and help in getting his “field” back into shape! Whether it’s our field of life, or our business practices, seeking to honor God and the help of other men can change the way the world sees us as witnesses for Him.
