Daily Devotional for Saturday March 17, 2018

1 Corinthians 13:4-5 (NASB) Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered

Having three daughters meant there were times when I found myself standing outside the bathroom door… waiting. Sometimes the wait went on forever especially when I wasn’t patient enough to allow them the time they needed. Most of the time, I find myself impatient because I am rushing off to the next thing. I am hurrying on to what comes next, or I don’t have the love and patience for those around me. It becomes all about me, and we know how wrong that thought process is. It should always be about Him. If it’s not, we need to take a serious look at ourselves and our walk with Jesus. How we love those around us, even when we need to wait and be patient, it’s what today’s verse is all about – LOVE. So are we patiently waiting in love?

Personal Application: Continue spending time with the Lord daily. Sow righteousness and reap the fruit of God's unfailing love.

Family Devotion: Read this chapter with your family. Ask them if anything spoke to them and discuss. Pray with them.
