One-Week Theme: BUSINESS PRACTICES Day 6 Proverbs 24:30-31 “I passed by the field of the sluggard and by the vineyard of the man lacking sense, and behold, it was completely overgrown with thistles; its surface was covered with nettles, and its stone wall was broken down.” (NASB)

We end our week of business practices with a two part Bible verse. Today’s refers to two men’s fields, the sluggard and the man lacking sense. While helping in neighborhood project of cleaning up, we ran across a home where the yards were covered in weeds, the front porch was in disrepair. As we spoke to the owner, we found that his attitude was one of carelessness, not that he couldn’t go the work, he just didn’t want to (definition of a sluggard!) The key that day was not just to do the work for the homeowner but to get him to come help. After an hour or so of speaking with him, he agreed to come and help. (see tomorrow’s reading for the conclusion of the story)!
