One-Week Theme: BUSINESS PRACTICES Day 2 Exodus 20:16. “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.” (NASB)

With the week’s theme of business practices, I wonder if we have ever wanted a job so bad, we lied on the application? Or been the owner of a business and used false advertising to sell a product? While managing a local business, the owner asked me to put a flyer in the local newspaper stating that we offered more than our competition, which in fact wasn’t true. We both offered the same services, and so I told him I couldn’t’ send it out with a clear conscious. He eventually agreed to change the add. Sometimes our fleshly instinct is to puff ourselves up at the expense of others.
