One-Week Theme: BUSINESS PRACTICES Day 1 Leviticus 25:14 “If you make a sale, moreover, to your friend or buy from your friend’s hand, you shall not wrong one another. “(NASB)

This week’s theme is business practices and I ask you to pray with me as we explore some of God’s Word concerning business practices and our work habits.  A friend had called and asked a simple question “do you think I should sell it?”. He was referring to an old lawn mower that he had. It was old and its usefulness had was just about over. I had worked on it for him many times and the last time I told him it was time to buy a new one! Today’s verse speaks to us about making a sale to a friend or buying from our friend and what we shouldn’t do. My friend had told me that he was thinking of selling the old machine and asked my advice. Now, I knew that the lawn mower wouldn’t run for long without someone putting some serious cash into it, so I told him “selling it without letting someone know what’s really wrong with it is just plain wrong.” I asked him to think how he would feel if he was the one buying it. God’s Word tells us that we should not wrong one another in our buying and sell, great advice for us to follow when we want to make the big sale!
