Daily Devotional for Friday March 09, 2018

John 3:36 (NASB) He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

If you knew, would you tell? The group of men I was with began to have a conversation about knowing the cure for cancer. We all naturally agreed we would tell. Why not? It would save lives! Today's verse speaks about eternity for those who believe in Jesus Christ. Then the conversation turned to our lives with Christ. We began to ask each other a simple question, "Knowing Jesus as our Lord and Savior is the way to everlasting life, why don't we tell more people about Him?" It was then that the excuses began to pop up: too embarrassed, not sure how, I do it by how I live, etc. We found a lot of excuses, but no real reason for not sharing Him. We walked away feeling a little saddened and promising to tell because we know. What excuse are you using? It’s time to share Him. Someone's life depends on it.

Personal Application: Continue spending time with the Lord daily. Sow righteousness and reap the fruit of God's unfailing love.

Family Devotion: Read this chapter with your family. Ask them if anything spoke to them and discuss. Pray with them.
