Mark 10:43-44 (ESV) “But it shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all.”
Maybe you’ve been in situation where someone has held their position over you to make sure you know they are more important. Or maybe a there was/is a relationship where you might think more highly of yourself than you should. Today’s verse is probably a difficult one for some people to live. Having a servant’s heart can be difficult, but it was the example of Jesus Christ and it should be ours, too. Humbling ourselves to serve others will bring glory to God. If Christ is real to us, then it’s the walk we need to walk. What can I do for you as opposed to what can you do for me.
