Daily Devotional for Monday January 07, 2019

Scripture:

Proverbs 10:9 “Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out.” (ESV)

Observation:

INTEGRITY/HONOR, a Men’s Ministries one-week daily devotional.

Day 1

There was a confidence in the way that he walked. Although the rocks were wet and slippery, the guide took each step securely as if he had walked this path a hundred times, because he had! Today’s verse speaks to us about walking securely if we walk in integrity and talks to us about those who walk in crooked ways will be found out. Trying to be like the guide, I began to step securely with each step, that is until I made one final step and slipped onto the rocks below. Boasting in my own ability and trying to seem as if I knew what I was doing, I began to walk the slippery rocks as if I was an expert. The truth was, this was the first time I had walked this path and so when I took my eyes off the path, I slipped and fell. In life, we may seem like we know it all but if we don’t walk in the integrity of God’s Word, and focus more on ourselves, we may find our way to be crooked.
