John 1:1 (NASB) In the beginning was the Word, and Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Whether I was building a new house for a customer, or staring a garden in the yard, or building a new relationship, I found that I had to start with the basics. When building a house, the foundation had to be right. With a garden, I had to remove everything from the soil that was not good for growing. Relationships must be built on truth. I’ve had my share of bad beginnings but when I started with the basics and started things right, houses were built true and square, gardens had plenty of harvest and friendships still last today. As we walk through this thing called life, we should start building on a good foundation. Today’s scripture is the best place to start. If we try to start anywhere else but the Word, it will lead to building something other than the Truth. We can start anytime, anyplace, and at any age… So, why not put down your phone, turn off the TV, and open the Bible. You will begin a journey that will flourish like nothing you ever imagined.
