1 Corinthians 6:20 “For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.” (NASB)
As the guys sat around telling some of life story, one man admitted that there was a time when there was a price on his head. He went into detail about what he did and how that price got there. As he continued, he told how the man who put the price on his head allowed him to go free. Today's verse states that each of us have been bought with a price. Therefore, we should glorify God. The price that was paid for you and me was paid for by Christ. God gave His only Son so that we could be free. As the group of men began to depart, one man asked, "How were you allowed to go free?" "The man insisted that I go to the police and turn myself in," said the man with the price on his head. He continued, "If I was to do this, the man that I owed, would let me go free. It was 18 months later when I finally found that freedom.” Thank God, we don't have to wait 18 months for freedom. We don't have to pay the price for our freedom either. He took care of it all for each of us whether we believe it or not. We should glorify God by how we live, not to pay it back, but to be respectful of our freedom in Christ.
