Romans 8:26 (NASB) In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words;
“UGH!” After getting some rather discouraging news, I had to find a way to move forward. I had waited for a decision for almost a year, and when it came, it was not the news I wanted to hear. I didn't suffer any physical pain, but emotionally, I found myself weak. Today's verse states that in our weakness, the Holy Spirit will intercede for us in groanings too deep for words. It may seem strange to some people that we can use a language that we don't know or understand, and yet it helps our own spirit. I cried out from my spirit when I heard the news. I couldn't find the words in the English language to describe how I was feeling. It's called being baptized with the Holy Spirit. In doing so, we find a language where we can cry out to God. Maybe you've been there too, finding weakness within your spirit over a situation and not sure how to move forward. If we allow the Holy Spirit to step into our lives, He will, like the verse states, help us in our weakness. The key is being open to Him and allowing Him to help. Not sure how to pray? Allow the Holy Spirit to pray through you, and you will find strength in your weakness to move forward.
