Ephesians 4:28 (NASB) He who steals must steal no longer; but rather he must labor, performing with his own hands what is good, so that he will have something to share with one who has need.
He was totally honest when he applied for the job. While working as a manager of an auto parts store, a man came in to apply for the counter position. As he gave me the filled-out application, he asked if he could talk with me. He proceeded to tell me how he had spent time in jail for robbery and has been clean for many years, but he wanted me to know up front. Today's verse states that those who have stolen in the pass must labor for what is good. The man went on to say that he had changed his life, given his heart to the Lord, and was living a new life. I could dismiss him, or I could hire him and trust what he said. I was glad I hired him. He went on to be one of our best employees, and went even further by offering his time to the local shelters. The Truth had set him free. When God enters a man's life, things change. It still comes down to choice. Has God entered your life? Are you choosing to walk with Him?
