Scripture:

Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” (ESV)

Observation:

INTEGRITY/HONOR, a Men’s Ministries one-week daily devotional.

Day 6

This week has been about integrity and honor. As the week draws to a close, I hope we have taken the time to really think about each verse and devotion and applied the “personal applications”! At our men’s small group meeting, one man just sat there and stared into space. He wasn’t engaged in the conversation and had this look as if he was miles away. One of the men asked him point blank, what was he thinking about. The man looked down and began to share how he had had spoken to a woman at his work place and the conversation had crossed the line. He said that he was thinking about her and the conversation. Today’s verse gives us many things to think about, those that are true, honorable, just, pure, lovely etc. the key of course is where our mindset is when it comes to those things that cross our path. The man repented to God, the rest of us, his accountability partners, and then we went on to discuss today’s verse in detail. Be encouraged that with God all things are possible, even what we think in our minds!
