Day 4

His call came out of the blue! Years before, I had worked with him, but our paths had changed. He went one way and I went the other. He asked me to come help him on a project for his home. Today’s verse speaks about our work attitude, not for men but for the Lord. I had to ask him why, after so many years, did he reach out to me. I knew there were many men who could help with the project. His reply was simple, he said that my work ethic always stuck out to him. As a young man, my dad had taught me to always work as unto the Lord, like today’s verse states. Even though I would receive a paycheck, the real reason to work hard and give my best was to bring glory and honor to God. I accepted the offer to help but also shared the reason for my work ethic. It opened up a great time of sharing about God with an old friend!
