Psalm 71:14 – “But as for me, I will hope continually, and will praise You yet more and more.” (NASB)
We finally found them. We had searched the building, covered each floor, each room, and yet we still hung to the hope of finding them. While working at a house fire where there was a report of two boys inside, we searched and searched... but never gave up hope of finding them. Then we saw it, a small door that lead to a closet in the corner of the room. When we opened the door, there the two boys sat huddled together. Today's verse speaks of hoping continually and praising God more and more as we hope. Firefighters never give up. We continue to hope to find the trapped victims; we search until every last possible place is uncovered. It is that hope that keeps us running into burning buildings. In life, we will have things that may cause us to falter in our walk, but if we put our faith in Christ and praise Him more and more, we will continue to walk in hope. Hope for the situation that seems helpless; hope for a new day; hope for the everlasting love of our Heavenly Father. Don't give up... no matter what you're going through. Have hope in Christ and praise Him more and more!
