Proverbs 27:17 “Iron sharpens iron, So one man sharpens another.” (NASB)
Daily Theme: IRON SHARPENING IRON
As we begin the week of devotion entitled “iron sharpening iron”, we find the most used verse when it comes to men helping each other walk the walk of Christ. As the wheel turned, the sparks began to fly! Any craftsman, who uses a tool with a sharp edge knows that from time to time, you have to sharpen it for it to be used effectively. He looked into my eyes and said, “I think you were out of line!” I had asked a friend to hold me accountable in my anger behavior and as we met to share a cup of coffee, I related a recent incident that happened to me. As he listened to the story, he finally said those words to me about the way I acted. No sooner did the words come out of his mouth, did I feel as if he was right and I had sinned. As we talked more, he gave me some advice about how to rectify the incident.
