Daily Devotional for Wednesday February 28, 2018

Luke 6:12 (NASB) It was at this time that He went off to the mountain to pray, and He spent the whole night in prayer to God.

We never miss a beat. Even though we live miles apart, when we talk it's like we've never been apart. I called an old friend. We've known each other for years, and when we speak on the phone, it's like we've been together the whole time. Today's verse speaks about a time when Jesus talked to His Father. The conversation lasted all night! My friend and I talk about life, family, sports, and how blessed we are to have married such wonderful women. We could probably talk all night. Prayer is talking to God. We find the best example of prayer in this verse. Sometimes, life gets so busy that we forget that God is waiting for us to talk. I know when and if we do, it will be like we've been by His side. He will never hold the long time away from Him against us. When was the last time you talked to God? He might have something He wants to tell you… or maybe He just wants to listen.

Personal Application: Continue spending time with the Lord daily. Sow righteousness and reap the fruit of God's unfailing love.

Family Devotion: Read this chapter with your family. Ask them if anything spoke to them and discuss. Pray with them.
