Daily Devotional for Sunday February 10, 2019

Acts 20:35 “In everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (NASB)

Day 7

He was and still is a great example of a man! I am blessed to have a great father, a godly man who reads scripture daily, knows Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and works hard to help those in need! As we end the week of Iron Sharpening Iron, we find Paul’s words of setting the example to us to work hard, to help the weak and to remember the words of Jesus. And the words Paul shares is that it is better to give than receive! In life, we will have opportunities to help the weak, and if we say we are followers of Christ, then our answer to those opportunities must be YES, a resounding YES! The example that Christ shared was the example Paul followed and share with those he lived with. My dad follows the example of Christ and as I try to follow my dad’s example, I pray that my example to other men is the best iron sharpening iron, I can share.
