Jeremiah 29:11 (NASB) For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.
And I thought I was in control. You find out real fast just how much control you have over a situation when you’re sitting in your seat on a plane, on the runway and you just keep sitting there. The wait is longer and longer with no end in sight. Today's verse shares that the Lord has a plan for us. One that's not about calamity, but a future and a hope. I hoped that in my future there would be a take-off, but for now, I had to let Him be in control. So, I took the time to get to know the man sitting next to me. He was from Texas, an electrical engineer who had never heard of Jesus. That man stepped off the plan with a future and a hope that he didn't have when he stepped on. If you think you're in control, think again. There is a higher power at work in your life. Recognize His plan and follow where He leads.
