VICTORY OVER ADDICTION, a Men’s Ministries one-week daily devotional.

Day 5, December 7, 2018

It’s Day 5 of Victory Over Addiction and I pray that our journey is leading us to where we find the Victory is in Christ and other godly brothers! I remember looking in the mirror and asking myself, “How would I feel if someone else spoke to my wife that way?” My addiction to anger had taken over my life and if I wanted the victory found in Christ, I had to admit a few things about myself. I needed to look in that mirror and be honest with where I was as a man. Today’s verse speaks about changing our lifestyle from one of addiction to the world to one of living a godly life. My actions, my addiction, was not bringing God glory or sharing the love of Christ with others. To win the total victory, we will have to change a few things in our life, change our way of thinking, change the group we hang out with, change our behavioral habits and begin to live as Christ.
