Proverbs 8:6-7 – “Listen, for I will speak noble things; And the opening of my lips will reveal right things. For my mouth will utter truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.” (NASB)

I think back to the choice Adam and Eve had in the garden: to eat of any tree in the garden but one. They still had the choice to eat of it, but God told them the consequences of their action. Instead of listening to God, they chose to do it on their own and got into some serious trouble. There have been times in my life when I thought I knew best. I would have “bet the farm” on my choice. It ended up that I was way off. What I chose only made things worse because it was all about me. One of the worst decisions I ever made was to blame my wife for my anger. In fact, I blamed everyone around me. I chose to believe that lie instead of the truth. The truth was that my anger was my decision not anyone else’s. Now, not every decision we make has huge consequences, but you never know who’s watching. Do you remember as a child being told that God sees all things - that’s TRUE. We will have to give an account for it all too. What choice will we make today that will affect our relationship with HIM and others?
