Daily Devotional for Wednesday December 20, 2017

Revelation 10:8-9 (NASB) The voice from heaven called… “Take the unrolled scroll from the angel… and eat it… it will be sweet as honey.”

Do most people not read the Bible because they just don’t believe that it’s real? Could there really be a man who spent time in the belly of a big fish, or walls of a city coming down because of a shout and trumpet blast? What about a boy who faced a giant, or a man walking on water that heals the sick, gives comfort to the down trodden, sight to the blind, and raises men from the dead? A man who loves us so much that He was willing to die just for YOU! We should read the Bible because it’s God’s Word to us about life. Why not give it a try? You may like it. There are thousands of promises from God in the Bible. How many do you know?

Personal Application: Continue spending time with the Lord daily. Sow righteousness and reap the fruit of God's unfailing love.

Family Devotional: Read this chapter to your family. Ask them if anything spoke to them as you read. Talk about their answers and show them that one important aspect of this chapter is that we must continue to spend time with the Lord and keep our hearts focused on His plans and purposes. Pray for them.
