Romans 10:14 (NASB) How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?
I guess I just thought everyone knew who He was. While going door-to-door to invite neighbors to a gathering at our church, I happened to utter the name of Jesus. The person at the door asked, "who is that?" Growing up in a Christian home, the name of Jesus was shared frequently. So, I just thought everyone else knew who He was. Today's verse puts forth the question: how will people know Him unless someone shares Him with others? The neighbors of our church were predominantly Muslim. So, when I spoke the name of Jesus, they didn't know who was I was referring to. The gentleman with me and I began to share about who Jesus was and what He did for us, all of us, even this man we were speaking to. The more we spoke, the more questions he asked. By the time we left, he knew who Jesus was. I wonder how many of those we pass by every day have never heard the name of Jesus or have no idea who He is and what He did for us. Maybe you could be the one to share Him with others, but that will take courage to speak His name and to know more about Him by reading God's Word. This time of the year, many don't truly know what Christmas is all about. Maybe it's time you shared Him.
