Proverbs 10:9. “He who walks in integrity walks securely, but he who perverts his ways will be found out.” (NASB)
"Are you really going to do it? I'm not!" A group of us young men had signed up at school to go away for the weekend to help some less fortunate families. After we left class, one of the guys said, "Are you really going to go?" He had no intention of honoring the commitment he made by signing the sheet and planned to come up with some excuse so that he didn’t have to go. Today's verse shares about walking in integrity and walking securely where the man who perverts his ways will be found out. The only reason the guy signed up was to get extra credit. He thought even if he didn't go, he would get the credit. He was sadly mistaken. In life, our integrity will be called into play. How we respond will either makes us men of our word or fools in the making. Eventually people will come to know whether we are men of integrity. Better yet, let's be men of His word. Come to think of it, Jesus was a man of His Word all the way to the cross? So are we men of our word?
