Daily Devotional for Tuesday August 07, 2018

Philippians 1:3-4. “I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always offering prayer with joy in my every prayer for you all.” (NASB)

How times flies. It was three years ago that I had one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. I had the opportunity to walk our eldest daughter down the aisle and give her hand away in marriage. I was also blessed to be able to officiate the ceremony. As I think back, I am flooded with emotions. I feel joy for my daughter, happiness that I gained a wonderful son-in-law, and even sadness as it was one of the last family events my mom attended before going to be with Jesus. As I remember that day and the people I treasure in this life, today's verse came to mind. I offer it to you all as well for you all are in my remembrance since I started writing devotions. I’ve been doing this for 21 years now.  So, I say "I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always offering prayer with joy for you all.” I pray that you hold the memories of loved ones dear and make every day count! Make a point to live, love and know God!!
