Hebrews 12:12 – “Therefore, strengthen the hands that are weak and the knees that are feeble.” (NASB)

I just could not seem to get it right, but I kept trying each day. During summer school, I took a shop class. I loved all the tools they had and the opportunity to begin to learn about them and use them in making projects that summer. However, when the time came to build a certain piece, it seemed like every attempt was met in failure after failure. The shop teacher could see my disappointment and began to help me along. Helping me hold this tool and that one as it seemed by hands weren't strong enough to get the tool to work properly. Today's verse speaks to us about strengthening the hands that are weak and the knees that are feeble. That's exactly what the shop teacher did for me that summer. I can't help but think that today's verse is exactly what we men are called to do - to stand shoulder to shoulder with another man who is struggling, to help hold up hands that are weak, to help knees that are feeble. One way to help weak knees is to pray with them, show them that a true man who is trying to follow Christ isn't afraid to bend a knee in prayer. It's one thing to lead by example and another to stand alongside someone and help. Why not make today the day you help strengthen a brother or sister for that matter? The ending project will amaze you!
