Romans 15:1 – “Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of those without strength and not just please ourselves.” (NASB)

Slowly they came, and before you knew it, there were enough of us to finish the job. Living in Buffalo, we get snow… a lot of snow. One winter day, while driving to work, I happened upon an elderly woman whose vehicle had slid off the road. I knew that I couldn't push the car by myself, but as I began to try, others stopped and helped. One by one, men of all ages showed up. Today's scripture speaks that those who are strong ought to help those without strength and not just please ourselves. As each man came, there was nothing said. They just jumped in and pushed. Without knowing their names, we became a well-oiled machine. Before you knew it, the car and the lady were back on the road and driving off to work. Each man let out a small cheer. Then, we all went our separate ways. God has blessed each of us with gifts and talents given by the Holy Spirit to be used when needed. Imagine if all the men of your church got together and began to work as one team. We don't have to imagine; we can do it in the power of the Spirit. That's if we choose to use our strength together help those in need. Why not begin to talk to the men of your church and form a team of men to help? All it takes is one man to start the process. What are you waiting for?
